Surgery at the Fairfield Medical
Center Pavilion
Dr. Lichten performs most of his out-patient
surgeries at the Surgery Pavilion of Fairfield Medical Center,
located downstairs from our Lancaster office.
What to Expect on the Day of your Surgery
A member of the Surgery Pavilion staff will
greet you when you arrive.
Once you have checked in, you will be taken to
the pre-surgery holding area where you will change into a gown and
prepare for surgery. You will meet with a member of the anesthesia
staff, Dr. Lichten and the Operating Room staff. While your
surgery is taking place, your family members will be asked to remain
in the Waiting Area.
Following your surgery, you will be taken to
the recovery area, where you will be closely monitored by Pavilion
staff members. Dr. Lichten will discuss your operation with you and
members of your family. Your support person will be permitted to
see you when you are awake.
When you are ready to go home, you will be
discharged by Dr. Lichten and be permitted to leave with your
support person.
