This 48-year-old female from New Lexington, Ohio had difficulty with back, neck and shoulder pain from her large breasts. She also had visible grooving in her shoulders from her bra straps and reported difficulty obtaining appropriate brassieres. She saw Dr. Lichten at Central Ohio Plastic Surgery in Lancaster, Ohio for consideration of breast reduction. At her consultation, Dr. Lichten reviewed her goals and expectations for her surgery, along with the risks and alternatives to surgery. She had her surgery at the Pavilion at Farifield Medical Center without any difficulty. At her surgery, 1.1 lbs of breast tissue was removed from her left breast and 1.3 lbs from her right breast. She rates her results as excellent and feels as though her body is balanced for the first time in her life. Her back, neck and shoulder pain were significantly improved with this surgery and she was also very happy with the lifting of her breasts that she noticed after her surgery.
