This 75 year-old-female had reconstruction of her nose following Mohs (dermatologic) removal of a skin cancer that left her with a defect of the side of the nose (ala). Dr. Lichten repaired this with the use of a nasolabial flap--moving tissue from the patient's own cheek to recreate the side of the nose--while hiding the scars in her natural skin folds. She is very impressed with her minimal scarring and the restoration of her normal nasal appearance.
