This 28 year-old male from Lancaster, Ohio had undergone 2 previous rhinoplasty surgeries by other surgeons and had been recommended to have a third surgery. He consulted with Dr. Lichten of Central Ohio Plastic Surgery to get a second opinion about his surgical options. After meeting with Dr. Lichten and reviewing his main concerns about the appearance of his nose, in addition to the option for a third open operation on his nose, Dr. Lichten also offered a non-surgical option. Because the patient's main concern was the depression in his nasal bridge, Dr. Lichten offered hyaluronic acid (HA) injections to correct this deformity. Although HA injections are most commonly done in the folds and creased around the mouth and to add volume to the lips, Dr. Lichten's advanced training has extended his use of HA to other areas. Pictures are shown 6 weeks after his office procedure which he tolerated very well without any sedation. He is very happy with the results and even happier that Dr. Lichten was able to accomplish these results without an additional surgery.
