Neck Lift Surgery
In most cases neck lifts are performed along with a face lift, but they also can be performed as a stand-alone procedure for individuals who have loose skin below their chin and/or a wrinkled appearance or banding of the neck skin. Since the muscles of the neck can slacken along with those on the face, Dr. Lichten can tighten the underlying neck muscles and remove excess skin. In cases where unwanted fat is present in the area below the chin, liposuction may be used to assist with rejuvenation.
Brow Lift Surgery
When horizontal lines on the forehead and creases above the nose occur as part of the aging process, you may look tired, sad, angry, and older than you actually are. This is when you may opt to have a brow lift, another procedure that is often performed along with a face lift. During the traditional approach to the procedure, Dr. Lichten makes discreet, often unnoticeable incisions in the scalp and hairline where skin can be raised and tightened.
Dr. Lichten also performs endoscopic brow lifts, in which an endoscope (a fiber-optically illuminated video camera) is used to see surgical areas, minimizing the number and size of incisions needed. Brow muscles can be repositioned and the forehead will heal in this new position. Regardless of the technique used, the surgery can create a more awake, younger appearance. In cases of minor forehead wrinkling or to refresh the results of a brow lift procedure, Dr. Lichten may recommend BOTOX® Cosmetic or injectable fillers.
