Juvederm VOLUMA XC for the Mid-Face

Conveniently located to serve Columbus, Lancaster, Pickerington, and Canal Winchester

Allergan Partner Platinum 2022 BannerAs people age, the cheek area loses volume, making the cheeks flatten out and the skin droop and sag. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC was recently approved by the FDA and the first and only filler approved to temporarily correct age-related volume loss in the cheek area in adults 21 and over.

Voluma instantly provides smooth, natural-looking results that last up to two years with optimal correction. With the FDA approval of JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC, physicians and patients in the U.S. now have a new treatment option that can help create a natural-looking, more youthful appearance in the cheek area.

What Are the Benefits of Voluma?

Dr. Lichten was very excited by the introduction of Voluma. “Voluma fills a void that was previously in the injectable options. Voluma allows me to offer my patients a long-term option to restore lost volume in the cheekbone area with very natural-looking results. My patients report that they feel like they look more refreshed and younger versions of themselves.”

Voluma is produced by Allergan, the same company who manufactures Botox ® Cosmetic, Juvéderm and Kybella. You can be assured that Dr. Lichten and Central Ohio Plastic Surgery only buy their Voluma and other fillers directly from the manufacturer, and only in the United States to ensure maximum safety for our patients.

What Is the Treatment Like?

Like Juvéderm and Restylane, Voluma treatments are performed in our Columbus office. Also, like Juvéderm and Restylane, Voluma contains lidocaine, which minimizes the pain associated with injections.

Dr. Lichten’s patients typically describe the feeling of Voluma injections as discomfort rather than pain. Voluma injections can cause some localized bruising or swelling, so we recommend that you schedule your injections 3 weeks or more before a big event.

Voluma and Other Treatments

Many of our patients combine Voluma with Juvéderm for what we call “full correction.” Full correction entails 2 syringes of Voluma, 1 syringe of Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC in the nasolabial folds (the lines between the nose and lips) and 1 syringe of Juvéderm Ultra in the lips.

This full correction package addresses most of the concerns voiced by patients about wrinkles and volume loss in the lower half of their faces.

Cost of Voluma

The cost of this treatment depends on a few different factors, like the amount of product used, how many injections you get, if you combine Voluma injections with other treatments, and more. If you have any questions about the price of this treatment, be sure to ask Dr. Lichten during your consultation.
