A breast lift can improve a woman’s self-esteem and body image. If you’re getting a lollipop lift, you should know more about the procedure before your consultation.

The lollipop lift procedure starts with a keyhole incision, a curved line around the areola with two diagonal lines coming downward to the breast fold. Excess tissue is excised from the area between the diagonal lines. If the surgeon has planned for an upward shift of the areola, the placement of the top of the keyhole incision will account for this.

After this, the two lines are brought together and sutured with medical stitches, closing the area and tightening the skin of the breast. The final scar is a circle with a line, the lollipop shape.
